COIN ACCEPTOR/VALIDATOR REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE


Earlier model of Smartcoinbox uses a KAI type of Coin Acceptor. The door cut out for the acceptor is rectangular and in order to remove this part you will need to unscrew the solenoid and gently slide it out the rectangular hole. New design are now modified. You can bring your smartcoinbox back to our shop for FREE modification if you wish.

The replacement part is the same except that there is an extra cover that you need to remove to gain access to the solenoid as shown below. Take note that lower screw is longer than the top screw.

WARNING: DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE WORKING. LAY THE COIN PANEL FLAT ON A TABLE. DON'T DROP YOUR SCREWS!

TOOLS:
SCREW DRIVER, GENTLE HANDS AND PATIENCE.

DURATION:
10 MINUTES MAX.





As shown above, using the right philips screw driver, unscrew the two screws.....now shown below...




Remove two screws holding the solenoid and gently pry off the
solenoid mounting bracket.



With the solenoid now off, slide it down to the rectangular hole. Ensure not to damage the wire.
